ENGLISH - Profile

      Government Degree College, Nandikotkur established in the year 1982 with the minimum strength of 35 in B.A.(H.E.P) with English as first language and Telugu as second language. The department was accommodated in the junior college campus in Nandikotkur town. The strength of the department increased year after year as B.Com (General) and B.Com(Computers) and B.Sc(BZC).B.Sc(MPC). B.A(C.A) and B.Sc(MPCs) courses were introduced. The College shifted to the new campus in Midthuru Road. The Department and College is grateful to Sri Juvvaji Sunkanna Goud the donor of the land. It is a spacious campus with fourteen acres of land on either side of the road.  

      Many reputed lecturers worked in the Department of English. Dr.S.Subramanyam worked in this College and he was awarded the “Best Teacher Award” in the year 1985. Sri.K.Vidya Sagar is poet and writer. Dr.V.Subba Rayudu became Principal of this College. Sri.MRC Mohan Rao was also awarded best teacher award. Our department has produced eminent personalities S.Ranjit Basha state 5 ranker in Group-I selections recently. Sri. Dharma Reddy, and Sri.Venkata Ramana are Group-I officers. Many lecturers, police officers, Revenue officials, Banking officials, Teachers, Educationists, Businessman, are the product of our Department. The then M.L.A. smt.Gowru Charita Reddy is also our student. Sri.Nagarjuna B.Sc., MPC is the 1st ranker in S.V.University entrance exam for M.Sc Physics.
